Have you ever heard of Pocket Letters??
I just recently heard about it, looked into it and it is really awesome. I haven't had a chance to do one yet but it is definitely in the works. With that said, I was just to excited not to share it with all of you. I have added picture through out the post of inspirations of other peoples pocket letters.
Janette is the created of Pocket Letters, she came up with a brilliant idea of a new way to send letters through snail mail. Basically, you fill all the pockets of a 9 pocket trading card protector and send the whole page to someone who wants to swap with you. this can be a one time exchange or you can keep exchanging pocket letters indefinitely.
What to Include in Your Letter!!
For me I think I am nervous about what to include in my letter. I am here to tell you, you can fill the pockets with anything you like. But you need to make sure to include a short note or letter and tuck it into one of the pockets. The decorating part I think will come pretty easy to me, but I am still wondering what kinds of goodies I should include for my partner. I have created list of some of the items I am thinking of including into my future pocket letters.
- Silver and Gold Anything - I mean really who doesn't like a litte sparkle in there life!
- Bows
- Stickers – As a planner addict I love to include stickers as little goodies inside the pockets.
- Clips Washi and Twine – need I say more!
- Mini sticky notes
- Tags
How to get Started!!
First find a Pocket Letter Pal on my Pocket Letter Pals™ network. Don't worry all it's free to sign up. Once you've signed up you can create a profile, join groups, and connect with others who want to swap Pocket Letters. Once you find someone to swap with, then work out the details about who will write first, deadlines, general info, preferences, etc. After you've arranged your swaps, then purchase your supplies and start filling your pockets with goodness!
