Hollywood Cemetery

You probably looked at the title and thought I was crazy! But it's that time of the year, an incredible and unique event takes place in Los Angeles area every Saturday night during the summer.

Movies at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery

My husband and I where invited to go on Saturday night for the first time and I feel like this might be one of my favorite things to do in LA on summer nights.

If you have never been you are in for a real treat. A classic film is projected onto a wall as you sit with a crowd of hundreds of people under the stars, (not many on saturday night) surrounded by headstones. (don't be frightened the graves are off in the distance) Everyone brings blankets, pillows, food, and drinks. An added bonus there is a DJ that sets up before the movie so you can hangout a bit before the screening.

Everyone just hanging out on the lawn, you can see the hollywood sign in the distance.

My husband, Garrett hanging out.

I will tell you now a large part of this whole experience is what you make of it. And it is an experience, and not just a movie. So for this weeks sunday saying, I want to make sure everyone is thinking of life as a experience and having fun with life.

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
